I am delighted to announce that the Scottish Volleyball Association, with support from the Aberdeenshire District Volleyball Association, and Aberdeenshire Council, will stage a Level I UKCC Volleyball Coaching Award in Aberdeen in February.
The venue is Banchory Academy, Schoolhill, Banchory, AB31 5TQ and the dates are Saturday 6th Sunday 7th and Sunday 14th February 2010
Course content;
The UKCC Volleyball Award examines the skills of both ‘How 2 ‘coach, and ‘What 2’ coach when introducing and developing the game of volleyball.
The format of the course includes an examination of movement fundamentals, how to develop body posture which leads to ball control, and developing game play and tactics. It will also examine the role of the Coach in preparing and delivering practical sessions.
The course structure is two days of practical sessions and delivery by the course Tutor, and a third day of review, extension and assessment.
Course fees. The cost of the UKCC Course is £116 – grants for between 50% to 75% of this amount may be available on request.
