Following the First Minister’s announcement on Tuesday 9th March 2021 in relation to COVID-19 and the easing of related restrictions, Scottish Volleyball has received updated guidance for sport and physical activity from sportscotland.
Scottish Volleyball have been working hard on confirming what the latest update means for volleyball and thank you for your patience whilst we have prepared our amended documents and guidance.
Please find attached an updated COVID-19 Play it Safe Guidance document for organised outdoor volleyball activity in Level 4.
Please note that all areas of Scotland are currently in Level 4, except the following, which are in Level 3:
COVID-19: Level 4 Update
- Orkney
- Shetland
- The following islands within Argyll and Bute: Coll, Colonsay, Erraid, Gometra, Iona, Islay, Jura, Mull, Oronsay, Tiree, and Ulva
- All islands in Highland, with the exception of Skye, which comes within the national restrictions.
We are delighted to see these changes bring about the opportunity for the volleyball community to return to a restricted level of volleyball but continue to urge everyone to Play it Safe and prioritise the health and safety of everyone involved.
If you have any questions in relation to the guidance, please contact our Scottish Volleyball COVID-19 Lead Andy Fleming: coaching@scottishvolleyball.org.
