Scottish student volleyball “downsized” at the start of the semester with the 4-a-side version of the sport taking the stage at tournaments in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The 4-a-side version of the sport is being promoted by both SSS and Scottish Volleyball as an excellent format for supporting and developing recreational players and feedback from all three tournaments was that the tournament certainly hit the mark!
19 teams from 11 institutions enjoyed a total of 60 matches during the fun tournaments, with an emphasis on taking part, having fun and meeting new players.
Thanks are due to the club members of Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow University Volleyball Clubs for their help in running the tournaments.
With the very positive feedback from all concerned, a national student 4-a-side festival looks to be on the cards for the Spring – watch this space!
