The Scottish Beach Volleyball Tour moves to the West Sands beach in St Andrews this weekend, adjacent to the 18th hole of The Old course and in full view of the Royal and Ancient club house the St Andrews leg of the Scottish Tour is on one of Scotland’s most iconic beaches.
As well as offering the high level of competition for all participants guaranteed at all of the Beach Tours, St Andrews has the exceptional trophies commissioned from John McPhail the famous Borders artist. This years commission could well be the last from John who is threatening to retire from his hectic schedule. St Andrews is also the only tour event where players camp out on the Saturday night leading to an impromptu beach party, all barbecues, fire pits and fire works improve the atmosphere.
So St Andrews is the volleyball place to be this weekend, be there or your chicken. All experienced Beach Volleyballers bring a range of clothing, sun screen, whistle etc and the essential folding chair.

Saturday will see men, women and junior pairs all playing for points – senior pairs playing for the coveted FIVB world ranking points as well as beach tour points. Sunday is a more relaxed affair where mixed competition takes hold. Register on the day.
