The culmination of the John Syer Grand Prix takes place this Sunday (14/2/16) at The University of Dundee ISE.
After 2 gruelling rounds of fixtures, the finalists have been set and all are looking forward to tough matches with the hope of bringing home the first piece of silverware of the 2015/16 season.
In the Men’s final top of the table City of Glasgow Ragazzi will take on 2nd place City of Edinburgh. With these teams playing their league match against each other, this adds a little bit of spice to proceedings. City of Edinburgh will be hoping to gain some revenge for their defeat earlier in the season at their 20th Anniversary match. With an abundance of National team players on display, this is going to be a real cracker.
In the Women’s final, Edinburgh Jets will be looking to use their current form to their advantage when they take on Su Ragazzi. Both teams have qualified for the top 3 split in the SVL Premier and will be using this possibility of silverware as a stepping stone to success in the business end of the season.
The John Syer Grand Prix Finals will take place during the Scottish Student Cup Finals so there will be a lot of volleyball on display.
Come along to the University and show your support for either of the sides or just revel in the performances of some of the country’s top players. With both games taking place at the same time, the noise in the hall will be deafening.
