The Scotland Junior Women have put in a lot of squad training time in the last month as they approach their exciting and historic ,trip to Malta in the Small Nations European Championship Qualifiers from the 13th to 15th of January.
In fact, by this Sunday their preparation time will have peaked with 30 hours in squad training over a 9 day period. Things are looking good as players hone their individual and team skills.
The final part of the training jigsaw in Scotland takes place at the Citadel Centre, Ayr this Saturday and Wishaw Sports Centre this Sunday. Apart from morning training on Saturday the girls will have a bounce game against the North of England Junior Team 2.30-5.00pm and on Sunday will play in a mini tournament against the same opposition 10.00am-3.00pm.
It would be great to have a crowd for these matches as it will help the girls acclimatise to the competition in Malta. It would also be good to recognise their commitment with some home support. So if you can pop down to either venue to offer your support you will be more than welcome and it will be very much appreciated.
