An important update on the next steps of the Tartan Talent Pathway:
The regional sessions in the Tartan Talent Pathway are now complete and after National Team staff appointments are confirmed, emails will be sent out inviting some of our talented athletes into the development phase with sessions beginning in January.
Scottish Volleyball are also preparing for a performance event for some of our U20 athletes with matches against Ireland in Glasgow on 16th and 17th December. The U20 men’s training squad is already established due to their ECH Qualifier in January and those in the training squad have already been invited to a session on Sunday 3rd December. The U20 women’s squad are not due to participate in the SCA until later in the year so a training squad will be invited via email to attend a session on Sunday 3rd December. From this group a selection will be made for the matches against Ireland in December. This was explained to all athletes over the last two Tartan Talent sessions.
Invites will be sent out by Wednesday 29th November. We apologise that this is later than expected, due to the number of athletes available for selection. Please remember that selection for the international against Ireland is completely different from the ‘Development’ phase in the Tartan Talent Pathway. Internationals are ‘Performance’ events which run alongside the pathway top offer our top athletes additional experience and support.
