Calling all practising coaches! Our new coaching manager Ally Jack is organising a Level ll Coaching course in Queensferry over two Saturdays, 10th and 24th of June. We are excited to invite our members to attend to develop key attributes for a coach.
Level ll course is a blend of online tutorials and practical sessions during the two Saturdays. The course content includes: the skills associated with ‘How 2 ‘coach, and the content of ‘What 2’ coach when developing the next level of the game of volleyball.
The format of the course includes developing a coaching philosophy, the importance of decision making, developing side out play and looking at the work of the setter. It will also examine the role of the coach in preparing and delivering practical sessions.
All candidates must attend all sessions, both online and practical, deliver and/or review an on-course micro coaching task, and complete a port-course task.
The course tutors will be Ally Jack and John Scrimgeour.
