I am delighted to announce that the Scottish Volleyball Association, with support from the Angus and Dundee District Volleyball Association, will stage a Level I UKCC Volleyball Coaching Award in Dundee in September 2010.
The venue is the Institute of Sport and Exercise at the University of Dundee and the dates are Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September, then day three on Sunday 3rd October 2010.
Course content
The UKCC Volleyball Award examines the skills of both ‘How 2 ‘coach, and ‘What 2’ coach when introducing and developing the game of volleyball.
The format of the course includes an examination of movement fundamentals, how to develop body posture which leads to ball control, and developing game play and tactics. It will also examine the role of the Coach in preparing and delivering practical sessions.
The course structure is two days of practical sessions and delivery by the course Tutor, and a third day of review, extension and assessment.
Course fees
The subsidised cost of the UKCC Course is £130.00 – additional grants for between 30% to 50% of this amount may be available on a limited basis, on request.
To register for this outstanding coaching opportunity, or receive further details of the course please contact the Scottish Volleyball Association Office, by phone or Email.
