As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance our communication with you and the wider sporting community we have recently reviewed our use of digital platforms. This review formed part of a wider examination of how we operate and deliver our services. As a result of this review our supplementary staff Facebook pages will shortly be amalgamated into the main account. This means our regional development officers and national club and coaching officer’s page will be closing. Followers of these page should be transferred across to the main page automatically but please make sure you are following the Scottish Volleyball Facebook page to keep up with all the exciting developments in the pipeline as we make our way safely back to our sport.
This is the one of the first phases of an exciting new innovative strategy to professionalise our image, operating procedures and communication lines that will be fully revealed on 1st September 2020. The work around this started over 10 months ago and the review included a multi-faceted approach which identified best practices and excellence from around the sporting world. Hopefully, many of you will have enjoyed the regular Facebook live sessions over the past few months and noticed some subtle changes to the layout and format of our content and Covid related guidance documents. These incremental improvements form the foundations of the plan that all the staff are extremely excited about and what we hope will provide springboard for our sport to reach new heights moving forward.
West region development officer Blair Pettigrew who has led the review into our online presence added “The SVA, staff and Board are excited to be moving into the end zone of what has been 10 months of hard work behind the scenes. The pandemic has, in, this instance probably helped all, as it has given us some extra time to focus on this exciting project whilst our normal practical delivery work had to be put on hold. It’s actually quite fitting that as we emerge from lockdown that we are in a position to hit the reset button and relaunch stronger for what I feel is going to be a very exciting period for our sport in this country”
