CEV Schools Project #NetSetGO
European partnership brings school pupils to the heart of our sport.
When CEV launched their schools development project last year, it was something we wanted to be a part of. The project outline is everything we are working towards as a development team here at the Scottish Volleyball Association as we know how crucial a role schools and teachers play in the growth of our sport and ultimately establishing lifelong players, coaches, officials and volunteers.
School is the most common environment for a players first experience of our sport, so we want to make sure we get this experience right and make it as memorable as possible. Not only that, we want to make sure that we have a qualified workforce of coaches and teachers who can create these experiences for young people, long term, not just in a one off fashion. With this in mind, the project has helped us connect schools to our local community clubs to ensure players always know what opportunities are out there to play more.
