We have a fantastic opportunity for young people aged 16-25 to get 
involved in our SVA Leadership Academy, supporting our International Events Team as a Young Leader. We are recruiting 30 young leaders to join the team and get involved in the delivery of our National Cup Finals Showcase in Edinburgh 10-14th April 2019.
What is it?
Selected applicants will receive Leadership training in a variety of modules to support our events team and other exciting projects that the SVA offer. Modules will include:
• St Andrew’s First Aid training
• Safeguarding and protecting Children
• Courtside Events
• Volleyball Officiating
We want to work with young people who have the desire to work with a dynamic sport’s governing body and their professional staff in a variety of leadership roles, contributing to the growth of our sport nationwide. The selected Leaders will work to support our team of Mini-Leaders across local, national and international volleyball and beach volleyball events and projects.
The Academy will cost £20 per candidate for a programme worth over £200 to each individual. Candidates will receive snacks and lunches on training days and event days, as well as an events goody bag on arrival. All candidates will receive a FREE SVA membership and a certificate to endorse their participation in the training and events which will be a fantastic addition to their CV and employability.
We will select 10 applicants with a City of Edinburgh Council postcode to receive the programme for FREE as a result of City of Edinburgh Council grant funding. The other 20 selected candidates will pay only £20 for the whole programme worth over £200.
