Our survey says…!
You may be aware that the SVA undertook an audit of club activity, which was launched to all club administrators in August 2011. The results are now in!
The SVA undertook this research in order to achieve the following:-
- To collate accurate and useful data on the Scottish Volleyball economy
- To group data to build a national and regional picture of facility use and spend
- To use data to lobby and negotiate with local authorities and national partnersTo support club development and infrastructure
- To use the data gained to help shape the new 2013/17 Strategic Plan
With The Bigger, Better, Stronger plan now reaching the end of it’s first four years, the SVA Board have begun consultations on the next phase of strategic planning and the information gathered from this survey will prove invaluable in guiding their vision.
The Summary Analysis of the Club Audit information is drawn from data received by the end of 2011 – click here to view. Around 50% of SVA affiliated clubs supplied a response. We aim to reopen the survey to those who did not yet respond in order to provide the fullest possible picture of club volleyball activity in Scotland. This process will be managed by our new Club and Participation Officer, Graeme Spowart, who took up his new post on Monday 30th April.
We hope you find this an interesting look at the nuts and bolts that underpin the sport of volleyball in Scotland
