The Aberdeen College Women’s Volleyball team have been on a high for a while. After winning the Scottish Colleges Sport National Finals on home turf last month, they qualified themselves to represent Scotland for the British Colleges Sport Finals taking place in Bath and Bristol this past weekend.
Aberdeen flew down to Bath on Friday night and the volleyball competition kicked off early Saturday morning.
It was a tough schedule for the girls, who had 7 matches to play in 2 days but they turned out a great record, winning 5 of the 7 with some hard work and fantastic play. This record led them to the bronze medal, a brilliant achievement, and the first volleyball medal for a Scottish Team at the British Finals.
Not only were these girls’ great volleyball players, but they were also a delight to be around and showed excellent team spirit throughout the competition.
Congratulations to all the players (listed below) and staff from the college who worked so hard to get them to Bath.
