Edinburgh Boy’s Volleyball Squad Recruitment
An exciting opportunity has arisen to represent Edinburgh in the International Children’s Games 2011, which will bring together 1500 athletes representing cities from around the world in 9 sports. The Games offer a lifetime of memories to children from all corners of the globe with the added bonus to accompany that experience with victory and medals!
Key Points
- Edinburgh have a boy’s Volleyball team participating in the 2011 International Children’s Games
- Players must be 12 years old by 1st Jan 2011 and must still be 15 on 31st December 2011 to participate
- Competition dates 3rd – 8th August 2011 in North Lanarkshire
- Trials will be held to pick a representative squad for Edinburgh on Monday 21st March & Sunday 27th March
- Training venue: Queensferry High School, Ashburnham Rd, Sth Queensferry, EH30 9JN
- Players selected would be required to be available for both trials, residential and 75% of training dates
- Cost: Parental contribution required for residential competition
- Transport: Parental assistance required to residential competition

- Residential Competition: Saturday 07 May – Sunday 08 May
- Sunday 29 May 10am – 12 noon
- Sunday 12 June 10am – 12 noon
- Sunday 26 June 10am – 12 noon
- Camp: Thursday 28 July 10am – 2pm
- Camp: Friday 29 July 10am – 2pm
- Team Meeting: Monday 01 August 4pm – 6pm
- Tuesday 02 August 4pm – 6pm
