The festival was back in Grangemouth in 2010, following an appropriate review, to allow for a better spread of the festivals throughout the school year. The intention is for the competition to run annually in November from now on.
The morning pools played out in their usual manner with the players displaying passion, determination and a lot of very good Volleyball. It was pleasing to see some new faces amongst those we have become accustomed to.
The afternoon sessions continued in a similar vein, with a lot of excellent volleyball and highly charged competitive spirits that lead to a number of very enjoyable matches.
The eventual winners were Marr College, who claimed the girl’s title with Kyle Academy winning the boys title.
I would also like to thank the SVA for their continued support and assistance. I would also like to thank the staff at Grangemouth Sport Centre for providing us with an excellent facility, pre-tournament organisation and in doing so ensuring that the festival was a success. I would also like to thank the staff / coaches involved with the various schools who are always happy to help and support in whatever way they can to ensure the events success.
