The Scottish Volleyball Association are delighted to announce that after a detailed and extensive recruitment and interview process, Sandra Grubb has been appointed as the new Club and Participation Development Manager. This new and exciting post contains elements of the remit of the role filled by Jenni Lloyd, but adds the crucial dimension of supporting our volleyball Clubs, and increasing participation in the sport.
Sandra has extensive experience of the game in Scotland, having been involved in several clubs as both a player and a coach for over 25 years. She played for and captained the Scottish National Team for a number of years , and has a solid knowledge of both Club Development, and working with volunteers.
Sandra started her professional career with the Scottish Volleyball Association when she worked as the secretary to the Technical Director. More recently she has been employed by North Lanarkshire Council promoting and developing volleyball in primary and secondary schools. All of which provides her with a range of experiences which will prove invaluable in her new role.
Sandra will make a great addition to the professional staff of the Association and we welcome her to the team. She officially starts with the SVA on the 1st April and can be contacted via email or on 0131 556 4633.
