Kenny Barton who is currently working as the British Volleyball Federation GB Programme Manager in preparation for the 2012 Olympics, offered his resignation from the SVA on Tuesday 3rd March 2009.
Kenny has decided to continue with the challenge of keeping the GB programmes supported in advance of the London Olympics and has accepted a further contract with the BVF.
In his letter to SVA President Colin McGinlay Kenny said “I look forward to seeing the SVA, the BVF and the sport of Volleyball going from strength to strength as a result of our combined efforts. I would also like to wish you and everyone in Scottish Volleyball all the very best for the future.”
The SVA Board has accepted Kenny’s decision, recognising that this is a huge opportunity for Kenny and the GB Programme.
Scottish Volleyball, the Board and Staff of our Association would like to thank Kenny for his years of dedicated service to the SVA and wish him every success in his new venture.
